Dear  Sir or Madam,

With support from friends like you, last year alone the Center for Creative Education (CCE) helped more than 10,000
Palm Beach County students learn in fun and innovative ways by using the arts as a teaching tool.

Here’s the story of how CCE helped one student, 11‐year‐old Brayan:

Brayan’s first experience with CCE was as a third grader at Lake Worth’s Barton Elementary where he was part of our
in‐school “LEAP” Arts Immersion program. Almost as soon as his first class, Brayan bonded with CCE Teaching Artist,
Ronni Gerstel where he and his classmates learned about coral reefs by making a replica of an entire reef out of an
old cardboard refrigerator box.

“I was in charge of the seahorse part of the coral reef,” Brayan recalls. Ronni, on the other hand immediately
recognized Brayan’s enthusiasm for learning as she used art as a tool to teach. “How could I forget meeting
Brayan? He was a sharp kid and focused on his work,” says Ronni reflecting back on the project.

Brayan’s interest in the arts and his connection to Ronni prompted his parents to sign him up for CCE’s three‐year, in-house
Discover Series where 3rd through 5th graders explore eight different art forms, eventually concentrating on
the ones they love the most. Now in his third year of Discover, Brayan is flourishing in dance and theater.

Along with our Discover Series, CCE also works with schools throughout the county, pairing Teaching Artists with
classroom teachers using the arts to help students learn. Our out‐of‐school programs reinforce what students have
learned during the school day—again, by using arts as a teaching tool. We also offer CCE summer camps which are
a great mix of fun, fused with art for art’s sake. With your help, CCE can continue to provide these programs and
more for deserving students.

Won’t you please help students like Brayan have the opportunity to be inspired with a life‐long love of learning
through the arts? All donations are tax‐deductible.

Warmly,

Robert L. Hamon
President/CEO

P.S. Remember, you are our best partner in helping children become better educated by using the arts to help them learn.
