“Education Meets the Arts” Spring Gala
Thursday, March 5th
at the Norton Art Museum
Tickets/Sponsorship: MercedesA@cceflorida.org / 561-805-9927 x105
Education Meets the Arts’ Spring Gala is chaired by Betsy and James Meany who served as co-chairs for last year’s gala. Our vice Chair is Ingrid Johnson with honorary chairs being Susan & Bob Wright and Junior Junior Chair Carson Meany.
Building upon a successful 26-year record of serving Palm Beach County students through arts in education programming the Center for Creative Education (CCE) proudly announces its Spring Gala 2020.
In the tradition of the organization’s past fundraisers, the evening begins with guests mingling with CCE students who will be displaying their creative and artistic projects which are representative of arts integration and project-based learning. These will include the presentation of a live art performance which will take place during the cocktail reception.
Dinner tables take on individual artistic flair, as prominent local designers lend their talents with one of a kind tablescapes inspired by artwork from the Norton Museum of Art’s permanent collection. Dancing to memorable Motown music follows a sumptuous dinner during which the Chief Programming Officer of the Center for Creative Education and one of CCE’s teaching artists will perform on the piano and cello respectively.

“We are delighted to once again, be a part of such a phenomenal organization that inspires the families and students of our community. James and I are so impressed with all the ways the children are enriched by art, music, literature, and theater. We have had the opportunity to meet many of the students and watch them advance. This is one of the reasons our enthusiasm for CCE, continues to grow,” said Betsy and James.
“Education is the best way to Stop the cycle of generational poverty. And It’s up to us, the local community, to help in any way we can. I love the Center for Creative Education because it provides the educational tools, through Arts based learning, to awaken the spark of genius within each underprivileged child. The care and attention received from CCE instills in our communities’ children the confidence they’ll need to be happy, healthy and productive adults,” said Ingrid.
