Building Strong Reading Foundations
Developing strong literacy skills begins in Kindergarten.
The Foundations School uses the Science of Reading along with ongoing assessments and differentiated instruction to support each student’s reading development. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 are assessed in reading and mathematics using i-Ready three times each year, helping teachers monitor progress and provide targeted instruction that supports grade-level proficiency.
Kindergarten Admission Requirements
Children entering Kindergarten at The Foundations School must be 5 years old on or before September 1, in accordance with the school’s admissions requirements.
