Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition, Family Contribution & Financial Aid
Tuition
Tuition at The Foundations School is currently established at $16,500 per year.
This amount reflects a portion of the full cost of providing a high-quality, small-school educational experience that includes strong academics, individualized support, arts-integrated learning, and lunch.
No family pays the full tuition amount. Through Step Up for Students scholarships, required family contributions, and CCE scholarship support, TFS works to make this exceptional education accessible to more families.
Step Up for Students
All families qualify but must apply for a scholarship through Step Up for Students. Click here to apply.
Families must provide the “Award ID Number” to apply these scholarship funds to their tuition. Please note that The Foundation School cannot apply for this scholarship on your behalf.
Family Contribution
We refer to your cost as the “Required Minimum Family Contribution,” and this payment varies per family based on the adjusted gross income and the number of people in the household. The table below describes what a family will contribute toward tuition for the entire year.
The first step in the process requires a $50 non-refundable application fee. The application fee is the only required fee, and it is applied toward your annual family tuition contribution based on the table below.
There are no additional fees for food, technology, textbooks, classroom supplies, school spirit shirts, or activity fees.
CCE Scholarship
After the Step for Students Scholarship and the Required Minimum Family Contribution are applied to the tuition cost, any balance due will be covered by a CCE Scholarship. Thanks to visionary philanthropy and deep community support, we provide these scholarships so that families only contribute a portion of this cost.
Families are automatically enrolled in this CCE Scholarship program when they complete and submit the Enrollment & Financial Agreement online. It is important that families understand their commitment in agreeing to this scholarship and must adhere to the terms and conditions to continue to receive the scholarship. There is no separate application for this scholarship.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the full annual cost?
Yes. The amount listed is your family’s total annual tuition contribution for the school year. The required $50 registration fee is included in this amount and credited toward your total contribution.
Are there additional mandatory fees?
No. The $50 registration fee is the only required fee, and it is applied toward your annual family contribution.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. Families may make payments throughout the school year. Payment plans can be arranged with The Foundations School, and options are listed on the fee schedule.
How does the cost of TFS compare to public school?
Public school does not charge tuition, and it remains an important option for many families. At the same time, families often still pay for school supplies, uniforms, field trips, special activities, and other school-year expenses.
At The Foundations School, we work to keep costs clear and predictable. A family’s annual contribution ranges from $200 to $2,000 based on household income and size, and philanthropy covers the balance of the cost of each child’s education.
For many families, the TFS family contribution may be less than what they already spend across a typical school year, while providing access to a small, mission-driven independent school with an extended academic year, strong academics, creative learning, and wraparound support.
How is my contribution determined?
Family contribution is based on household size and Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from your most recent federal tax return.
What if our financial situation recently changed?
TFS understands that family circumstances fluctuate. Families experiencing significant financial hardship may request additional review. We are also happy to establish a payment plan if needed. To inquire about the amount your family will be required to contribute or to establish a payment plan, contact the Chief Financial Officer at jefferyn@cceflorida.org
