Aswand Cruickshank 

Aswand is a four-times published author, with a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Stony Brook University. He has spent time as a fitness consultant, college scout, and high school football coach. He continues to be driven by the mission that CCE has to improve the reading levels of the students at CCE.

Shay Daniel

Shay has worked with kids since she was 14 years old. She has a coaching business where she helps people gain more discipline in their lives. She has a bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University in Psychology. She minored in Sociology. She enjoys helping people and students grow to become better.

Christian Garcia

Christian is an assistant teacher at The Foundations School. He is an online student at Grand Canyon University, working on his Bachelor's in Elementary Education. He has worked in childcare for 3 years, working in daycare and afterschool programs in New York before moving to Florida.

Katherine Haralson

Katherine is a first-year teacher at The Foundations School. She has a bachelor's degree from New York University and a Master's in Education from the University of Florida. She has taught preschool and first grade for six years. Raised in Miami, she recently moved to West Palm Beach from New York City.

Malisha has experience as a registered behavior technician as well as experience as an assistant teacher and afterschool counselor. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Andrea Kastilahn

Andrea attended the University of Oklahoma where she received a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She taught pre-kindergarten and first grade in Oklahoma and Texas before moving to Florida in the winter of 2022. She is excited to be part of the CCE team.

Brenda Pierre Louis

Brenda received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Florida Atlantic University. Prior to working at CCE, she gained valuable experience at Brain Balance, a pioneering program designed to address and enhance the neurological development of individuals, particularly children facing developmental challenges. She has a deep-rooted passion for facilitating learning and growth and is honored to bring her expertise and insights to CCE.

Chadeline has over two and a half years of experience working in education in the summer camp, afterschool, and in-school classroom settings. She has her Associate of Arts from Palm Beach State College.

Second Grade Teacher

Betzaida Santiago

Betzaida is an educator with 12  years of teaching experience. Before her time at The Foundations School, she taught kindergarten and first grade in Osceola County at Deerwood Elementary and at Poinciana Academy of Fine Arts as a Pre-K and Kindergarten Teacher. She worked for eight years at District U-46 and District 300 as a teacher assistant in Bilingual Education, DUAL Language, ESOL, and ESE classrooms. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ana G. Mendez System University in Orlando, Florida. She is certified in Elementary Education, English For Speakers Of Other Languages, and World Language - Spanish.

Jasmine Sepulveda

Jasmine teaches 3rd grade at The Foundations School. She has taught 3rd grade for six years and kindergarten for 8-9 years. She has a Bachelor’s in General Science and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Fordham University in New York.

Juankah Seymour

Juankah is a first-year teacher at The Foundations School. She has taught for seven years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in educational studies from Lynn University and a master’s degree in curriculum instruction and technology from Nova Southeastern University. She is Reading and ESOL endorsed. She wants all children to be successful learners and works to create a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging, and adaptive to the varied needs of students.

Melissa Toussaint

Melissa was born in West Palm Beach, FL but finished school in Miami. She is completing her undergraduate degree in psychology at Florida A&M University. She plans to pursue her master’s in Educational Leadership next spring.
