A Generous Gift from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation
At the Center for Creative Education, our mission is to transform teaching and learning through creativity and the arts. But we can only achieve those goals with help from people in the community who want to make a difference in the lives of underserved youth.
On Wednesday, CCE held an event to celebrate a generous $50,000 donation from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to education through the arts and understands that “if you educate a child, you will change their life. But, if you inspire a child, you will change their world.”
Wednesday’s event unfolded at our new campus in West Palm Beach. Students and their families came to see their new educational home and interact with the visitors from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation. At a small ceremony, the Genesis Inspiration Foundation presented CCE with their $50,000 check and spoke about their decision to donate to CCE.
“The Genesis Inspiration Foundation is committed to improving educational outcomes for children specifically through the arts, which is exactly what CCE stands for,” said Walter Dawson, Senior Group Manager at Genesis Regional Operations.
The gift comes at a time of transformation at CCE. Soon, we will officially open our new campus and welcome students to our second year at The Foundations School. We are also looking ahead to building the Susan and Dom Telesco Arts and Science Center, which will be right next door to the school. These new spaces are designed to maximize learning and creativity, with the goal of expanding our educational services and becoming a creative hub for our community.
“Thank you to the Genesis Inspiration Foundation for this generous gift that will further CCE’s mission to transform teaching and learning through creativity and the arts,” said James Meany, CCE’s board chair. “Your investment in our work will impact this community for years to come.”
