Giving Tuesday: Five Reasons To Support CCE
It’s the time of year where we celebrate giving, and soon the biggest giving day of the year will be upon us: Giving Tuesday. Created in 2012, Giving Tuesday comes after the big shopping days like Black Friday and encourages people to do good.
There are so many organizations that are doing incredible work and having a meaningful impact on our community. Here are five reasons we believe that you should support CCE this Giving Tuesday:
1. We provide a unique approach to teaching and learning.
Our students at The Foundations School, as well as the students that we impact through our other educational services, benefit from CCE’s unique approach to teaching and learning. CCE integrates the arts into academic learning and makes creativity a part of the daily educational experience. This provides students with an avenue to grow their knowledge and self-expression that they otherwise would not have.
2. We transform the lives of our students.
Did you know that 85% of students at The Foundations School live below the poverty level and 100% of our students are on some form of tuition assistance? Your gifts allow us to give our students an educational foundation that will help them succeed in the rest of their academic journey. Many of our students would not find these resources in the schools available to them.
3. The arts are a powerful tool.
The arts give students a voice and allow them to better understand themselves and the world around them. But too often, the arts get overlooked or forgotten in the traditional school system. CCE was founded in 1994 as a response to the cuts to arts funding in public schools, and since then we have provided thousands of students with access to life-changing mediums for learning and self-expression.
4. Our work impacts the community.
Through our educational services, CCE uplifts underserved communities and provides our students with a safe place to learn and explore. But in the past, we have also served the community by being a venue for theatrical performances and art gallery exhibitions. We look forward to continuing this work when we open the second phase of our new campus.
5. Our future is bright.
This past year has been an exciting time for CCE, and we’re not slowing down. In Fall 2022, we opened the first phase of our new campus in West Palm Beach, giving our students at The Foundations School a new educational home. Soon, we will break ground on the Susan and Dom Telesco Arts and Science Center, which will feature a theater, an art gallery, STEM labs, and more.
These accomplishments are only possible with the support of our generous donors. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to the organization, we hope that you will consider a gift as we aim to end the year on a high note. Help us achieve our mission of transforming teaching and learning through creativity and the arts.
