In this instructional unit, students will be taken on a journey into the great safari with their sketch books. They will travel to the Serengeti and draw a wildebeest and its eternal enemy the crocodile. They will discover the risk it takes crossing the Mira River. Then students will travel to the people of Dagon and learn how they use dance and costumes to honor their ancestors and create masks that reflect the Dagon culture. What’s next on our great safari?
