In this unit students will learn various artistic skills and techniques through the exploration of folktales, legends, and traditions from Egypt and surrounding regions. Students will analyze tradition-rich stories and discuss the lessons found within, and determine how these lessons might connect to their own lives and those around them. They will construct various pieces of art such as a Three-Pyramid Diorama, Canopic Jars, a Cartouche, a Pharaoh Mask, and a Scarab Pennant.
