Long before TV was invented, families would entertain themselves by putting on miniature puppet plays. In this unit, students will learn how to bring a folktale or fable to life by creating the same type of rod puppet miniature characters as long ago and performing in their very own “toy theater” production!

Goals:
1. To experiment and develop skills in multiple art-making techniques and approaches through practice.
2. To imagine and articulate ideas for costumes, props and sets for the environment and characters in a drama/theater work.
